  • Thor Urbana is founded.
  • A strategic alliance is created with Thor Equities in New York.
  • First investment vehicle raised through a Canadian pension fund.
  • Land acquisition to build Calle Corazon hotel and lifestyle center in Playa del Carmen.
  • Land acquisition in Playa del Carmen for The Shops at 5ta & Calle 8 lifestyle center and Thompson Beach House hotel and beach club.

2013

  • Development initiated for Calle Corazon and Thompson Beach House.
  • Land purchased for The Landmark Guadalajara.

2014

  • Acquisition of Altavista 147 lifestyle center and Masaryk 120 shops in Mexico City.
  • Acquisition of mixed-use project, Lomas Verdes, and lifestyle center, Town Square Metepec, in the State of Mexico, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Mexico City.
  • Thor Urbana places $500 million USD of capital.

2015

  • Second investment vehicle raised trough a Canadian pension fund.
  • Operations commence for Calle Corazon and The Shops at 5ta & Calle 8 in Playa del Carmen.
  • Acquisition of land for Montage Hotel & Residences in Los Cabos, Caye Chapel hotel and residences and residential lots in Belize, and The Harbor lifestyle center in Merida.
  • Thor Urbana reaches $1 billion USD in AUM.

2016

  • Thompson Beach House and Masaryk 120 open to the public.
  • Acquisition of land for The Park mixed-use project in San Luis Potosi.
  • Development commences for Montage Hotel & Residences.
  • Thor Urbana reaches $1.5 billion USD in AUM.

2017

  • Acquisition of The Landmark Tijuana mixed-use project in Tijuana, Baja California.
  • Thor Urbana reaches +1 million sqm of total developed area.

2018

  • Third investment vehicle (CKD) raised via the Mexican Stock Exchange with Afores.
  • Acquisition of Marina Puerto Cancún lifestyle center in Cancun.
  • Montage Hotel & Residences, The Harbor Merida, The Landmark Guadalajara, and Town Square Metepec open to the public.
  • Thor Urbana reaches $2 billion USD in AUM.

2019

  • Acquisition of land for Ritz-Carlton Reserve Costa Canuva hotel and residences in Nayarit and for Casa Magna hotel and residences in Tulum.
  • Funding round closed for Caye Chapel.

2020

  • Thor Urbana launches Thor2GO, a distribution platform created to help tenants ship merchandise directly to clients.
  • Thor Urbana develops the winning bid for Aztlán, urban and entertainment park in Mexico City.
  • Land acquisition for hotel and beach club in Tulum.

2021

  • Fourth investment vehicle (CERPI) raised via the institutional stock exchange (BIVA).
  • Signed contract for development in Tulum, Quintana Roo.
